We got this lamp for our son's room to create soft light for reading on his nightstand, and the cover doesn't seem to get hot after being on for awhile his old light would point directly at his pillow or stuffed animals, my only complaint is that it didn't come with directions on how to change from white light to colored lights -- we've gotten it to change a couple times, but can't seem to figure out the exact way to do it when we want it to change colors, but it's easy to use as a white light reading lamp - three levels of brightness

Bought two of these lights for my desk and for my reading corner, as an engineer/desktop tinkerer and big reader these lights are great, they are very adjustable for getting the light where you need it, have very bright settings for working on small parts and building things on the desktop, and nice warm light for reading just before dozing off to sleep, the USB charging port on the side of the light is a very nice touch, not a big deal and I can see why it was easier to design it that way, happy with my purchase

We needed a lamp for the computer desk since this town home doesn't have overhead lights in many of the rooms, this lamp is perfect for us to read, it has a very bright white light, a dimmer white light, and a dim yellow-ish light, I prefer the dimmer light when I am just doing something nearby the computer, and the brighter lights when I am actually reading something at the desk

If I'm reading at night I can set it to be a soft, low light, if' I'm working on a project I can set it to an bright white light for a great view, which changes the setting from when it was last turned off, would be great if the on ` button' had either an target LED such as the blue intensity indicators or a small divot to let you find it in the dark easier, it's an awesome lamp

The brightness is good for reading tho prob brighter options out colors are a nice change for mood lighting, the led power light does make the lamp glow light blue but its no more brighter than my led alarm clock and dvr, only question now is to see how long the bulb last

It seemed like a cool lamp and I needed one for both ambient lighting to be cast against the wall and for task lighting, it's easy to adjust the level of lighting ... you just swipe your finger across the touch pad on the base, it has a USB port on the base

The `` white'' light color is reasonably warm for an LED light, the color feature is a nice touch if you want it, I have not experienced any of the problems referred to in some reviews insensitive to touch, blue light that stays on when the lamp is off

It's a lamp ... pretty bright and stylish, few different options ranging from bright white LED down to a warm yellowish LED that's easier on the eyes, one USB port is nice for charging a phone

Very good lamp for the price, came without any scratches like I was reading in other reviews, really like the three different brightness levels and really like the USB chraging port
